Some Thank you's
Applying to go to Mars is a huge deal, and while my application is entirely myself, the support, admiration, and advice that has guided me through the process so far has been overwhelming, and I strongly believe that these people deserve to be recognized for their contribution to the "A-Lex On Mars" project.
Peter Marion
Anyone who saw my interviews by CBC and CTV will know this man! He is my father, and he was the one who told me about Mars One in the first place. Without his own passion for space exploration and science fiction (and science fact for that matter), I wouldn't be here today. In addition, he has been there every step of the way, pushing me to be better than I thought I could be.

Catherine Bentley
Most of you will not know who this is, especially given the name. Catherine is my mother, and she really doesn't want to see me go! But she has supported me nonetheless, because she knows this is my dream and nothing can deter me. Even so, she is the most remarkably giving and compassionate person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. If I ever achieve even half of her level of kindness, I know I will be a good person.

Hope Nye
Another name you probably won't recognize, but those who have watched my YouTube channel should recognize her as she's the one who participated in the Friendship Challenge video. Hope has been my closest friend for many years and we have been through many adventures together, laughing together in the happiest moments of my life and shedding tears with my during the saddest. She's also the one that has helped me put together my social network, from Facebook to Twitter, to essentially creating this very website! Her support in every theatre of my life has been invaluable.

Jeff Mackey
I have done quite a few interviews now, in press and on TV, and more are to come. I don't want to play favourites, because each interview has been a unique and valuable experience. None of that, however, would have happened without Jeff. Jeff is a reporter with the Canadian Press, and why he singled me out from the 7000 other Canadians that applied to Mars One I will never know, but for whatever reason he did, and that's what started everything. His article was featured in newspapers and online articles in several different countries, and triggered a snowballing effect to the point where major news networks were calling me, and schools inviting me to give presentations to students. If I get picked to become famous as the first person to go to Mars, I will always remember that it was Jeff's article that started it all.

Come on! I can't write paragraphs about everyone... That being said, there are so many people I wish I could, but at the very least, I can tell the world their names, as these people are no less important than anyone else, and have all made such valuable contributions, in ways they themselves may not fully realize. To these people, thank you so much for your kindness and support.
